Terms of Service

These Terms explain the rules that apply when you create an account or use Pocket.

Effective date
Important

Pocket is developed and operated by Decentralized Technology Inc., a company registered in the Philippines. Some regulated services—including fiat cash-in, fiat cash-out, and related identity verification—are separately provided through our licensed on/off-ramp partner, Coins.ph.

1. Accepting these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Decentralized Technology Inc., a company registered under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines (“Decentralized Technology Inc.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Decentralized Technology Inc. develops and operates Pocket. “Pocket” is the product and brand name used for the Pocket website, application, wallet interface, and related features (collectively, the “Pocket Services”).

By creating a Pocket account, accessing the Pocket Services, or confirming a transaction, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Pocket Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and be permitted to use the Pocket Services under the laws that apply to you. You may not use Pocket if you are located in a restricted jurisdiction, are subject to applicable sanctions, or have previously been suspended from the Pocket Services.

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information and for updating it when it changes.

3. What Pocket provides

Pocket is a consumer wallet that makes blockchain-powered products feel like familiar money tools. Depending on availability and eligibility, Pocket may let you hold supported digital assets, send and receive value, view balances and transaction history, and access ways to earn.

Pocket is not a bank. A Pocket balance is not a bank deposit and is not insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation or any similar deposit-insurance scheme. Features, supported assets, limits, and availability may change over time or vary by location.

Decentralized Technology Inc. provides and operates the Pocket interface and related technology. It does not itself provide fiat cash-in, fiat cash-out, KYC, or another regulated partner service unless expressly identified as the provider of that service.

4. Coins.ph partner services and KYC

Fiat cash-in, fiat cash-out, and related regulated services are facilitated through Coins.ph as a separate service provider. Coins.ph operates through Philippine regulated entities, including Betur, Inc., which is listed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as an active non-bank Virtual Asset Service Provider.

Know Your Customer (“KYC”) identity verification for these partner services is conducted by Coins.ph. To access applicable features, you may be required to provide personal information, a valid government-issued identification document, a selfie or facial-verification data, proof of address, source-of-funds information, or other documents requested for compliance and risk review.

Coins.ph may approve, reject, pause, repeat, or request additional information for verification in accordance with its policies and legal obligations. Pocket cannot guarantee that you will pass KYC or remain eligible for partner services.

Your use of Coins.ph services is also governed by the applicable Coins.ph User Agreement and Coins.ph Privacy Policy. Where permitted, Pocket may receive verification status, transaction status, limits, and compliance-related information needed to provide or support the Pocket Services.

5. Your account and security

You are responsible for protecting your device, passcode, authentication credentials, recovery methods, and any other means used to access your Pocket account. Do not share access credentials or allow another person to use your account.

You must notify Pocket promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, device compromise, fraud, or an incorrect transaction. We may require additional verification before restoring access or processing a request.

6. Transactions

Before confirming a transaction, you must review the recipient, asset, network, amount, rate, and fees shown. By confirming, you authorize Pocket and applicable service providers to submit or process the transaction.

Blockchain transactions may be irreversible after submission. Pocket may not be able to recover assets sent to an incorrect address, unsupported network, or unintended recipient. Processing times can vary because of network conditions, compliance review, provider availability, or banking and payment-system delays.

7. Fees, rates, and limits

Applicable fees, exchange rates, estimated delivery amounts, and transaction limits will be shown before confirmation where reasonably practicable. Third-party, banking, payment, blockchain-network, or partner charges may also apply.

Quotes may expire or change before a transaction is confirmed. You are responsible for reviewing the final details displayed in Pocket or by the applicable partner.

8. Earn

Pocket may provide access to blockchain-powered products that allow eligible users to earn a variable return on supported assets. Displayed annual percentage yields are estimates based on current conditions, can change at any time, and are not guaranteed.

Pocket charges a performance fee equal to 12% of newly generated Earn yield. This fee does not reduce the amount you deposit. Pocket's displayed Earn APY is shown net of this performance fee unless a screen expressly states otherwise.

Earn products involve risk, including smart-contract failure, protocol failure, liquidity constraints, asset-value changes, network disruption, and the potential partial or total loss of assets. Earn is not a bank savings account or a guaranteed investment product. You should consider your financial circumstances and obtain independent advice when appropriate.

9. Prohibited use

You may not use Pocket for unlawful activity, fraud, scams, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, unauthorized financial services, illegal gambling, trafficking, exploitation, or transactions involving stolen property. You may not interfere with the Pocket Services, bypass controls or limits, impersonate another person, provide false information, or use another person's account.

We and our partners may review activity, request information, reject or delay transactions, restrict features, freeze access where legally permitted, or report activity to authorities when required by law or reasonably necessary to manage fraud, security, or compliance risk.

10. Third-party services

Pocket relies on third parties for certain functionality, including identity verification, on/off-ramp services, payment rails, blockchain networks, infrastructure, and other financial-technology services. Those services may be subject to separate terms, privacy notices, limits, eligibility requirements, and outages.

Pocket does not control third-party networks or services and is not responsible for their independent acts or omissions except where applicable law provides otherwise.

11. Taxes

You are responsible for determining, reporting, and paying any taxes that apply to your transactions, balances, rewards, or earnings. Pocket does not provide tax, legal, or investment advice.

12. Service availability and changes

We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue a feature to address legal requirements, security concerns, partner changes, technical conditions, or business needs. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail required verification, create legal or security risk, or if a partner or authority requires us to do so.

13. Intellectual property

Decentralized Technology Inc. and its licensors own or license the Pocket Services, Pocket branding, software, designs, content, and related intellectual property. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use the Pocket Services in accordance with these Terms.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Pocket Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Decentralized Technology Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of data, market movements, or losses caused by third-party services or blockchain networks. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any mandatory rights available under applicable law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Pocket Services, partners, legal requirements, or risk controls. We will post the updated Terms and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact Pocket through the support channel available in the application and attempt to resolve the issue informally. Any mandatory consumer rights available to you remain unaffected.

17. Contact

Questions or legal notices concerning these Terms, Decentralized Technology Inc., or the Pocket Services may be submitted through the support channel available in the Pocket application. Questions about Coins.ph verification or partner transactions may also need to be directed to Coins.ph through its official support channels.
